Rourke's workshop in Bloomfield, New Brunswick looks out over the fields that were plowed by the Loyalists who settled the Kennebecasis River valley. The vibrant colours of this Northeastern Canadian landscape provide a source of inspiration for this master box maker. He hand selects the wood that will be used in his pieces - only the finest walnut, cherry and birds-eye maple will do.

One of the first Shaking Quakers was Ann Lee. During a long imprisonment for her religious beliefs, she had a revelation that she was the Second Coming of Christ, the vital female component of God the Father-Mother. Renaming herself "Mother" Ann, she became the official leader of the Shakers in 1772.
