... good enough for Queen
Elizabeth II.
Our
Shaker oval boxes and boards are prized today for the patience and skill required
to make them. Brent Rourke spends many hours carefully handcrafting these
quality
Shaker oval boxes and carriers to last for generations.
The quality shows. When the Lieutenant-Governor of New Brunswick was looking for a gift for Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, he picked one of our boxes. We're good enough for the Queen. So you'll know we'll be good enough for you.

Our products have been put to a variety of innovative uses. Check out what Maria Pinto, fashion designer to Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey, did with our Shaker Oval Boxes.
Rourke's workshop
in Bloomfield, New Brunswick looks out over the fields that were plowed
by the Loyalists who settled the
Kennebecasis
River valley. The vibrant colours of this Northeastern
Canadian landscape provide a source of inspiration for this
master box maker. He hand selects the wood that will be used in his pieces
- only the finest walnut, cherry and birds-eye maple will do.
With over twenty years experience in shaping wood, Rourke has gained the appreciation of many fine art collectors for his exceptional Shaker Boxes and carriers. You'll prize your Brent Rourke's Shaker boxes for their simple elegance.
Brent Rourke is proud to be a member of the Atlantic ÉCONOMUSÉE Network.
One of the first Shaking Quakers was Ann Lee. During a long imprisonment for her religious beliefs, she had a revelation that she was the Second Coming of Christ, the vital female component of God the Father-Mother. Renaming herself "Mother" Ann, she became the official leader of the Shakers in 1772.
